A lovely patterned intro sets the stage for this wistful piano solo arrangement of the Christmas favorite, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. The arrangement can easily be taught with a combination of rote teaching and/or note reading, depending on the aptitude of the student. Especially designed to correlate with the Piano Safari method Level 1, a simple eighth note pattern appears three times in the solo, along with an 8va note, simple pedaling during the intro, interlude, and ending, and contrasting dynamics. A brief movement to C-position with notes played hands together in parallel motion makes the chorus ring out brilliantly in the middle of the song. Elementary students will be delighted to sound like accomplished pianists with this thoughtful arrangement!
